Selfmade Red Bean Steamed Bun
I tried to make this and voila it happened to be real stemed buns! I thought i might failed because whenever i use yeast i often failed lol.
I want to share the recipe i found on the internet (well, sometimes internet recipe isn't good but this one is easy to follow). Just follow the link here to make the steamed buns and here to make the abko (red bean paste).
Just follow the direction precisely and i think you will get some good steamed buns straight to your tummy!
We need lot of time to prepare the ingredients, so make sure you're patient enough to do this, because you will have to wait; for soaking the beans, for the doughs to double its size, etc. But after you finally made it you will be extremely proud of yourself (just like i am now lol)!
Tips for the bun recipe, it's said that you have to mix 1 1/2 cups of flour in the second step, but it's actually more than that. Just add the flour little by little until your dough isn't sticky. At least it won't stick to your hand (yes just knead it with bare hands. That's a lot easier and better than using any kind of spatula).
Meanwhile, for the anko (red bean paste), i guess you should add more sugars. Don't follow the recipe for the sweetness, i mean, we all have different preference but for red bean paste i guess it's better if it's sweeter. You don't eat sugar that much everyday so you won't get diabetes anyway. Lol no offense. If you do exercise, even a simple exercise everyday, you shouldn't worry about what you should and shouldn't eat, as long as it's still in normal portion and you don't have any genetic diseases that require a lot awareness. You can adjust the sweetness with your taste buds so it might be better if in the middle of mixing the sugar, you took some for testing (remember, just some! Not all of it haha)
Anyway, just click the link above and happy cooking! Wish you good luck and happy tummy! ♡♡♡
